ECU remapping written for your vehicle.
Stage 1 and custom calibrations for cars, vans, 4x4s, HGVs and agricultural machinery — read, mapped and road-tested at your yard or driveway anywhere in North Cork, Munster and beyond.

A remap rewrites the software in your engine control unit so the engine makes the power it was engineered for, rather than the detuned figure it left the factory with. We read the original file from the ECU, keep a backup, then write a calibration for that specific engine, gearbox, fuel and the job the vehicle actually does.
Most customers notice it first in the mid-range: less waiting for the turbo, easier overtakes, less gear-changing with a load on. Economy-led maps are written the other way round — for vans and trucks that spend their life on the motorway or pulling a trailer.
What a remap gives you
- More power and torque across the rev range
- Sharper throttle response and smoother delivery
- Better fuel economy on steady driving and towing
- Fewer gear changes with a load on — vans, HGV, agri
- Options for speed-limiter (Vmax) adjustment and start-stop deactivation where appropriate
How the job is done
- Diagnostic scan and live-data health check before anything is written
- Original ECU file read and backed up — reversible at any time
- Calibration written for your engine, fuel and duty cycle, kept within mechanical limits
- Road test with live logging, then a final check with you before we leave

Questions
ECU Remapping FAQ
How long does a mobile remap take?
Most Stage 1 remaps take one to two hours on site, including the diagnostic check and road test. Trucks and some newer ECUs that need to be read on the bench can take longer — we'll tell you before we start.
Is the remap reversible?
Yes. The original file is backed up before anything is written and can be put back at any time.
Will it affect my warranty or insurance?
A remap can affect a manufacturer warranty and should be declared to your insurer. We'll talk you through it before the work is done — plenty of insurers cover remapped vehicles for a small adjustment.
Do you remap vans, trucks and tractors?
Yes — vans, 4x4s, HGVs and agricultural machinery are a big part of what we do, with maps written for economy and towing rather than just peak power.
