Diagnostics first, software second. Whether it's a family diesel counting down to no-start or a truck losing drivability under load, every job starts by reading the vehicle and ends with it verified back on the road.
ECU Remapping
A remap rewrites the software in your engine control unit so the engine makes the power it was engineered for, rather than the detuned figure it left the factory with. We read the original file from the ECU, keep a backup, then write a calibration for that specific engine, gearbox, fuel and the job the vehicle actually does.

AdBlue Solutions
No-start countdowns, NOx & dosing faults. We start with a full read of the SCR fault history and live data, work out exactly which part of the system has failed, and give you the options: a repair of the failed component, or a software-based solution where that is the appropriate route for the vehicle and its use.

DPF Solutions
Blocked filters, regen failures & warnings. We read the live soot and ash figures, the regen history and the upstream sensors, then explain what's actually going on and what the options are — a forced regeneration, an on-vehicle clean, a repair of the underlying fault, or a software-based solution where that's the right route for the vehicle.

How it works
Diagnose. Fix. Verify.
Three stages, same order, every job. It's what separates a calibration written for your vehicle from a file copied onto an ECU.
Fix / calibrate
Original file backed up, then the fault resolved or a map written for that engine, fuel and duty cycle. Changes are made in stages and kept inside mechanical limits.
Verify
Road test with live logging — boost, fuelling, temperatures — then a final run-through with you. If something needs refining, it gets refined before we leave.

Do you come to me?
Yes — AHR Tuning is a fully mobile service. We come to your home, yard, farm or depot with everything needed to read, map and test the vehicle on site. Based in Mallow, we cover North Cork, Cork City, Limerick, Kerry, Tipperary and Waterford daily, and travel nationwide by arrangement.
What vehicles do you work on?
Cars, vans, 4x4s, HGVs, plant and agricultural tractors — petrol and diesel. If it has an ECU, there's a good chance we can help; send us the make, model and year on WhatsApp and we'll confirm.
How much does a remap cost?
It depends on the vehicle and the ECU. Send us the make, model, year and what you want from it on WhatsApp or the quote form and we'll give you a straight price — no call-out fee hidden in it.
My van is counting down to no-start because of AdBlue — can you help?
Yes, that's one of the most common jobs we do. We diagnose which part of the SCR system has failed and get the vehicle back on the road, usually the same day, at your location.
How long does the work take?
Most remaps and emissions jobs take one to two hours on site. Some newer ECUs need to be read on the bench and take longer — we'll tell you beforehand.
Is a remap safe for my engine?
A properly written calibration stays within the mechanical limits of the engine, gearbox and drivetrain. Every vehicle gets a diagnostic health check first, and we won't remap a vehicle that isn't right mechanically.
Can the original software be put back?
Yes. The original ECU file is backed up before any change and can be restored at any time.
